Murder Charges in Renton Case
Yesterday, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed a Murder in the Second Degree with an intimate partner enhancement charge against the defendant in a Renton case.
From the public charging documents:
“Video surveillance of the incident shows the defendant punching the victim in the head head while seated behind him in a vehicle and then produces a firearm when the driver turns around. The defendant can be seen pointing the firearm at the victim’s head several times while a struggle ensues in inside the vehicle between the victim, defendant and front seat passenger. Within a few seconds after producing the firearm the defendant shoots the victim behind the right ear. The defendant then gets out of the vehicle pulls the victim onto the ground and flees the scene. Responding officers see her vehicle leave the scene.”
As of this writing, the defendant remains in jail on $1 million bail.
We appreciate the work of Renton Police on this case.
