Homicide Charge in Bellevue Fentanyl Death

Bellevue police found these pills during their investigation on June 18, 2020.

Today, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed a controlled substance homicide charge against a Renton man. The defendant is accused of selling pills containing fentanyl to a 26 year old woman in June of 2020. After ingesting one and a half pills, the woman overdosed and died.

The case was investigated and referred to our office by Bellevue Police. Here’s a link to information about the Bellevue Police investigation.

The defendant’s arraignment, where he’s expected to enter plea, is scheduled for June 28.
