Felony Charges Filed: 41 pounds of fentanyl powder; 95 pounds of meth
This morning the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Bruno Moreno-Camacho in relation to a case out of Burien. Charges include:
- Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act (fentanyl — possession with intent)
- Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act (meth — possession with intent), with an aggravating factor of a major Uniform Controlled Substances Act violation
- Conspiracy to Commit Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act
From the attached charging documents:
At the time of his arrest the defendant was in possession of over 41 pounds of Fentanyl powder and over 95 pounds of Methamphetamine, with a combined street value of $2.6 million. Given the value of the product it is believed that the defendant has access to significant resources that would allow him to promptly return to Mexico.
While VUCSA Possession with Intent to Deliver & Conspiracy to Deliver are not crimes of violence [according to state law/lawmakers], the impact and danger to the community of this quantity of drugs cannot and should not be overlooked. According to the DEA, 41.8 pounds of Fentanyl alone has the potential to kill 10 million people.
As of this writing, defendant remains in jail on the $100,000 bail requested by King County prosecutors. That amount was set by the court.
We appreciate the work of Burien Police and the King County Sheriff’s Office on this case.
Through September, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has filed 267 drug dealing cases — primarily fentanyl or meth or both.
