Charges in Tukwila Murder Case

--

On Friday, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged a man in connection with a Tukwila murder. Filed charges included: Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree.

From the public charging documents:

“In this case, surveillance video shows the defendant exchanging words with, and then firing multiple shots at, a male — who appears to be a total stranger — as he is standing just inches away from his female passenger. The defendant fired these shots at two unarmed people, from the passenger’s seat, as he was driving away. There was no threat to him, and no discernible motive for this seemingly random act of extreme violence.”

At his first appearance, King County prosecutors argued that the now-defendant should be held on $3 million bail, and the court agreed.
