Charges in Bellevue Robbery Investigations

Earlier today, Bellevue Police posted about arrests in a months-long robbery investigation.
We appreciate the hard work of Bellevue Police, both to investigate these cases and for referring the cases to us with the evidence to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
Here are the charges filed by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office:

- Robbery in the First Degree (5 charges)
- Kidnapping in the First Degree (1 charge)
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree (1 charge)

- Robbery in the First Degree (9 charges)

Speaking generally, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are charging robberies and attempted robberies daily. In the last five months, King County prosecutors charged 156 robberies and attempted robberies.
King County prosecutors also charged 249 gun-specific crimes (most commonly Unlawful Possession of a Firearm) in the last five months, and that’s in addition to armed robberies, armed assaults, murder cases and other crimes involving guns.
