Charges in Auburn Murder Case

Today, King County Prosecutors rush filed a Murder in the First Degree charge against the defendant in an Auburn case. Charging documents are attached.

From the public charging documents:

“The defendant randomly and without warning attacked the victim — a total stranger — from behind, slashing his throat with a box cutter in a crowded casino. Surveillance video from the casino reviewed by the undersigned to date reveals no interaction between the two preceding the defendant’s deadly attack.”

At first appearance King County Prosecutors asked for the then-suspect to be held, and the court set bail at $5 million. As of this writing, the defendant remains in custody at that amount.
