The KCPAO is sharing the number of adult cases filed each day and additional details about a handful of specific cases to highlight information about the kind of cases we handle.

Organized Retail in The Second Degree

From the charging documents:

Two defendants acted as accomplices while stealing $6,037.62 worth of merchandise from Lululemon on September 1, 2020, and September 16, 2020. Loss prevention officers recognized both suspects from previous theft incidents. None of the stolen property has been recovered. Based on the first defendant’s history of failing to appear for court hearings, our office asked for bail to be set at $5,000. For the second defendant, our office asked for bail to be set at $25,000, also because of the unlikelihood that they will appear in court.

Burglary in the Second Degree

From the charging documents:

In the case at hand, the defendant was seen by police inside of a fenced off area operated by King County Department of Natural Resources. The defendant gained access to a pumphouse within the area. Deputies say he threw items and rocks around in the area. Employees report 4 thousand dollars in estimated damage. In this case, a judge released the defendant on their personal recognizance over our office’s objection.

Assault in the Third Degree
