The KCPAO is sharing the number of adult cases filed each day and additional details about a handful of specific cases to highlight the kinds of cases we handle. Details below are from the public charging documents.

Robbery In The First Degree
Marijuana and cash were stolen during an armed robbery at Green Theory in Bellevue. Four individuals held employees and customers at gunpoint. A tracking device was placed with the stolen money and marijuana, monitored by police, and that led to the traffic stop by the Seattle Police Department a mere 45 minutes after the robbery occurred. The defendant was in the driver seat of the vehicle and was arrested at the scene. Marijuana, guns, and clothing matching to surveillance video of the armed robbery were located in the car during the execution of a search warrant.

Attempted Robbery In The First Degree
A loss prevention officer at the Macy’s at Bellevue Square saw the defendant stealing merchandise. When the defendant was contacted, the defendant punched the victim in the face multiple times. The victim suffered a broken nose.

Burglary In The Second Degree
The defendant was observed on surveillance footage exiting a senior residential facility in Seattle through a damaged door. On contact, defendant was standing beside a door with pry marks. The defendant was in possession of numerous items facility employees identified as having been stored inside the facility, in addition to 38 different keys to different units, a Washington State ID and debit card not belonging to him. The estimate for the damages to the door and lockers inside of the facility was over $2300, and reported stolen items were valued at $6,886.33.
